In this video you will see how the work "The nice gnome" was created.
Compositing and editing work is included. You can see all the step-by-step processing from the source to the final result. The model (extracted from its original photograph) was included in a new digital background. Subsequently, an editing process was carried out on the image as a whole to reach the final result.
In this video I have worked mainly on lighting, since the subject has been taken from a photo in which the room had an intense and uniform lighting, and has been included in a background in which the light is dim and is concentrated in a zone
All elements used on the video are included.
This is a intense video where every minut is important, a shot to the point video, no filler or fluff. Cut out the model from the original photo is not included as it is basic and sometimes many time consuming. A free tutorial showing how to extract the subject is available on the Fairy Magic Chest blog.
You need to have at least the basic knowledge of Photoshop (know the main tools, know how to work with layers and layer masks).
The use of keyboard shortcuts has been avoided, but it is possible that these basic ones are used sometimes: Ctrl + T (free transformation), Ctrl + I (invert), Ctrl + J (duplicate layer) , Ctrl + D (deselect).
